It's hard to believe, but this business actually started as a high school senior project back in the mid-1990s, and what began as a simple idea and a basic business plan has grown over the last 20+ years into a passion for land management that is deeper than ever. Today, Frank's Stump Grinding is a local, family-owned small business, and we've spent two decades innovating, practicing, and developing methods specifically suited for our unique -and often difficult- Sierra environment.
In this town, "stump grinding" isn't always created equal. Because I am a Board-Certified Master Arborist and a Licensed General Contractor, I look at your property through a different lens than a typical equipment operator. My family and I live here, we work here, and we care about the safety and beauty of our mountain community.

We specialize in removing stumps of all types, sizes, and species-especially in locations others won't touch. We've spent 20 years building highly customized gear designed to work in elevated planter boxes, on steep hillsides, and through tight 36inch back yard gates.
